Vipers vs Barons
I kicked off my next blood bowl season with a match against Matt’s imperial team. We played in the 3 hounds pub which is a great venue with a nice quiet downstairs area and a good range of beers on tap.
Matt won the kick off roll and elected to kick, with 30,000 fans cheering on each side.
The opening drive saw an early casualty for the nobility and a completed pass for the Vipers thrower. Things then started to go wrong and the Barons put the pressure on with a couple of KO’s. This allowed them to retrieve the ball and a rapid move and pass allowed them to score on turn 5.
The Vipers stepped up in the second half and caused a further two casualties, meaning the Barons had the numerical disadvantage. A blitz on the Barons thrower knocked the ball free, offering a fairly long shot of a TD- a dodge followed by picking up the ball plus two go for its…..somehow the Vipers managed it to tie the game 1-1.
Great fun, great opponent and great to finally play a real life game of blood bowl again.
